What shall I say about my mother
If you ask her she would rather
Deliver a speech about her son
Which for me is no fun
She is a troubled woman
Her troubles are often contagious
Only my dad can tolerate all this
As if he was someone sagious
She's only bad when she nags me a lot
That's when things get worse
We never come to a mutual understanding
As if it were an unending curse
Still how can I forget those sleepless nights
When she was wide awake
As I was shivering in fever
She had a commitment to make
She was here to cure her son
Feeble and weak he was
Her extremely possesive love for her son
Resulted in this cause
I see the joy in her eyes
When the result is really good
I know she is more happy
That she can proudly raise her hood
I love my mother unconditionally
I like her just like that
Who doesn't have faults my friends
I outscore her in fact
So much more can I write
About my mother so holy and great
But sometimes I just imagine
What's ahead in my fate
Even the thought of her leaving this world
Creates an emotional burst
That's why I plead to you God
You better take me first
The Story Behind
As the name of the poem suggests this poem is completly dedicated to my mother. Just like everyone else does, I love my mother unconditionally and I dare say that my mother is as normal as everyone else's mother.
Actually this poem is dedicated to all those great mothers in this mortal world who rise above the mortality because true love is immortal.
This poem is understandably my family's favourite and I like it too. It was somehow difficult to write not because I did not know what to write but because I had too much to write and I did not know where to stop.
This poem too ends typically on a suicidal note but please excuse me for that because I was still in the Hollow phase then.
I hope that anyone who dearly loves his/her mother will like this poem for sure.
