Let us all...
Speak of a mountain slope
Speak of a thin taut rope
Speak of the freezing snow
Speak of its icy flow
Speak of the mighty storm
Speak of its brutal form
Speak of a growing flood
Speak of the flowing blood
Speak of the sky at night
Speak of its mystic fright
Speak of a man who knows
No fear from these mighty foes
Speak of the man who longs
For the throne to which he belongs
Speak of his distant sight
A view so merry and bright
The Story Behind
The question that comes to one's mind after reading this poem is who is the 'man'? Is it you or me or a completely fictional character?
The answer is anti-thetical but very true. The man represents only one man but his actions, his attitude and his eternal optimism is shared by men and entire generations to come.
That is the reason why human race has been termed as so progressive and intelligent. Our ability to learn and our adaptability has made us survive.
This poem speaks of that optimism and the will to overcome towering obstacles provided you have the guts to be tough and strong and the confidence to always exceed and come out victorious every time around.
