A garden full of life
Where lovely flowers bloom...
A bud that has now grown
With a fragrance of its own
A rainbow in the sky
Like many in here lie
The flowers big and small
Obey the nature's call
They cling on a sun ray
Which flings them on their way
To roads way up high
Which lead to the blue sky
Each flower leaves a mark
Before the sky turns dark
But the sun comes shining through
With a rainbow coloured view
Each flower lives its day
And colours the sky its way
Our life is like the garden
Where lovely flowers bloom...
The Story Behind
We all have a different definition of success. Success for us may be rising to newer heights but this height may not be uniform for all of us. This poem talks about that aspect of human nature. If you start believing that you have won or you are successful, you have won half the battle then and there. Its true that the perspective of looking at life and success is different for each of us.
But if we cringe about people being successful and fate inhibiting you from being the same, I feel that is a very sadist way of looking at life. We all are here to stay and God has made sure that each of His sons' is going to find his own merry way to happiness and success. It might take a little more time but everybody finds his way to success if he/she truly tries.
This poem compares our world with a flower garden where different kinds of flowers represent us. No two flowers are the same but they bloom in their own way and hope to reach the blue sky directly above them. The essence of these flowers largely lingers in the sky and all those varying, merry colours of the flowers makes the sky look rainbow coloured.
I especially like the unique framing of words in the first and last stanza: 'A garden full of life' and 'Our life is like the garden'.
