In search of the Satan,
A demon or an evil spirit?
Where do we find it?

In the deepest trenches of hell?
We read about it in the Bible.
We breeze through the Koran and Gita.
But there?s still no trace of it.

Have we lost it? Is it dead?
Neither. The Satan takes refuge.
It never slept, always lay awake.
It's claiming innocent victims today.

The mortal devotees of God should know
The body has to die but the devil lives on
For there?s a Satan hiding in all of us.



The Story Behind

What is to become of this world? A world full of wolves. A world where man himself becomes a devil? Today all the corners of the world are surrounded by a considerable amount of maniacs. Some many paedophiles, rapists, murderers and serial killers are out on the loose and believe me, they have no stopping.

Innocent victims lead a traumatic life owing to an unfortunate sexual abuse sometime in their childhood. My heart melts for those poor kids who are a victim to hypersexual paedophiles. Even in today's Generation X, women still don't get the respect they deserve. They are still victimised, traumatised and tortured. They are still treated like slaves. For men, this is just another unfortunate incident but the truth is that this is a silent injustice that has been carried out for years now. When will this stop? Like I mentioned before, the wolves are always on the hunt for an innocent little lamb.

I think the word that describes the essence of God is 'Love' and the word that describes the essence of Devil is 'Lust'. That is exactly what these hungry wolves are made of. Lust will drive a man crazy, he loses all his humanitarian instincts before lust. I think lust needs to be controlled, it should be restrained and then gradually won over. It is a test of one's mind and self control but it is very necessary to get through this testing phase. I speak from my experience for I have been successful in winning over lust. But today man instead of winning over it, is infact exploiting it, enjoying it. When will he realise that such self pleasure is transitory? Who has given him the right to destroy somebody's life for his sake? What's the use of praying to God, if your actions are so disgraceful? When are you going to repent for your sins? Do you really think God will forgive such sinners? No wonder, a Christ doesnot take birth again. Even he is practical enough to understand that this time around he really can't bear the immense burden of sin, man has contributed to.

On one hand I read the newspapers telling me all kinds of awful news regarding rapes, abuses, murders etc. On the other hand, I read the Holy Books the Bible, the Koran and the Gita, which talk about the proposition of God and Devil, Heaven and Hell and of course Satan. I have not seen God but I have seen Satan; I have been seeing it all the time now. No, it doesnot live in Hell. Hell's a hypothetical world.

Satan lives on earth. He was always here within us. Only today, he dominates and rules our personality more often than we would like him to. Just as God is within, so is Devil. But we have failed miserably at restraining the Devil. He dominates the God and the good within us. That's the reason for the tremendous amount of sin that engulfs the world today. I would say that the time has come to wake up. There is no God going to rescue you, there is no Hell and Satan you need to be afraid of because the world today has become a living hell, thanks to the evil and the devil within us. If the Devil is not destroyed and the heart is not pure, we will always keep on suffering.

That is the aim of this poem. For us to realise that God and Devil are not two different personalities. To realise the unfortunate truth that the Satanic conscience today is winning much more often over our Divine being. That good and evil are within us. God is our Divine conscience and Satan is the more human, fallible, impure and lustful part of our conscience. If the Satanic personality in you wins, the world is a living hell. But if the Divine personality wins, I assure you that you are one with God. You are on a sure road to Heaven. Heaven is no different place in reality. If that divine personality awakens within everyone of us, remember this world i.e Mother Earth is no less than the Kingdom Of Heaven. Remember what Jesus Christ had said: "The Kingdom of Heaven lies within you". Its all upto you now. Between Heaven and Hell, Jesus and Satan, you have to make your choice.
