Eyes of God

To all the evil men of this world
To ask you to give up your ways
Of evil is foolish for evil is immortal.
But I just want you to know a fact.
The blatant truth about the biggest lie.
When you crushed your conscience.
You were guilty, you were the verdict.
In a world full of lies, it started with you.
That is why the needle of sin pierces
And weaves through the cloth of life,
The picture of truth in your own death.
Worthless is it to close your eyes then
Or put a hand over your face and hide.
For you have but only two eyes to see.
Meant to be closed at the onset of death.
But the repentance of sin is from there on,
For nobody can escape the eyes of God.

The Story Behind

For every sin, every mistake committed and every lie spoken, there is an eye watching all of us. That is the eye of God. We may lie to the whole world and we may trick ourselves too but we can't trick God. We may commit a crime and hide it from our own guilty conscience eyes but nothing can be hidden from God. All the sinners are always rightfully punished.

A higher form of justice always exists in this world. It is not asleep; it's just waiting for the right time to make its decision. So for every mistake committed, there is an apt punishment. Evil does exist and will always continue to do so, but then so will the just and the emergence of the good.
All of us have to bear the burden of our sin, and repent for our mistakes. We can't escape or hide or simply mask our sins. Salvation is a must for all is basically what I want to convey through this poem.

So when you believe in God, there should also be a belief in this higher form of justice. For one should believe that there in lies a hidden gift in the joy of being benign and a watchful eye for every hidden sin of mine.
