People just implore, ask for money
I ask for one and all harmony
Some pray to God for their endless wants
I pray for all in spite of their taunts
Some want the light but can't face the sun
I hope for all subconscious to be one
One with the God submerged in the sea
Drowning within Divine ecstasy
Nurture the nature and you will see
God lives in birds, God is a tree
Live and let live is the Almighty's call
For God is in you and God is in all
Why should we harbor ill feelings within?
Why should we kill why should we sin?
Let's cross all boundaries and advance in glee
Let's love others like our own family
Holding our hands, let's take an oath
We'll never kill, we'll never loathe
Never again will we grumble and groan
We'll live a life that's not just our own
A gift that is rare that we call empathy
In helping others we all want to be
So harmonious like a great white dove
Learning to fly and learning to love
The Story Behind
This poem echoes with the message of "live and let live". There is an essence of God in all of us and thus we have no right to end anybody's life or kill anybody. This is true for animals, birds and trees too. We must learn to respect each entity of Mother Nature. We must all live in love and peace as if the whole world is a singular family. We must never hate each other or be envious of each other. We must respect each other and care for each other's feelings. We must respect other cultures, religions, ideals, values and thus globally, under this wonderful pattern of diversity, we must all be always united and strong.
Thus in this idealistic world, I want the necessary equilibrium to be maintained. We must learn to love and live in harmony. In fact, something about this beautiful word 'harmony' struck a chord in my heart and that made me write this poem.
