Art Of Love

What lies in the heart of an art?
Is it a soul or a gift of the Divine?
In it lies beauty of Mother Nature.
Like in the first stroke of a brush.
In the colors of a beautiful landscape
Like in the mellifluous voice of a cuckoo.
Like the silence in the music of soul.
Like the echoes heard on a mountain.
Honey drenched in melody of nightingale.
Like the howling wind and snoring sea.
Like the song of clouds and dew drops.
Like the playful song of flowing riverbed.
Do any of these have a caste or creed?
Do the mortal boundaries restrict them?
They encompass all Gods and religions.
For this is nothing but just a creation of God.
And to seek God in His fourth dimension.
Your heart should be true to the art of love.

The Story Behind

There is a great line from the movie 'The Ten Commandments' which says: "God made man, man made slaves". That's so true. Assuming that a God created us, we were all created as equals. We were free from the bounds of caste, creed and religion. We were nobody's masters or slaves. But we chose to make a difference. This was never God's will but our greedy desire to rule. We drew boundaries to our countries and restricted our brothers from truly becoming our own. Is this independence?

Like I have mentioned in this poem, the elements of nature, the birds, beasts, the rivers, the wind are so much more free than all of us. No caste or religion defines them. No mortal boundaries stop them. Like us, they don't pray to mortal religions or they don't haggle on values of independence but still they are so much closer to God and much more independent. That is the beauty of art. A good painting, melodious music or the music of our Nature knows none of these superficial differences. Because they have inculcated the greatest art of all, an art much greater than an art of mortal creativity. The art where lies the creativity of God. The art of love.
