The Feeling Of Love

It was fluttering high above in the clouds
So I reached the highest peak of a hill
To catch it firmly with my both hands
The wind blew gently kissing my cheeks.
I could then catch small drops of dew.
Like a shower of snow caressing my body
I was happy perhaps but not delighted.
I felt good but my lips couldn't smile.
Was I still finding the missing emotion?
And suddenly the truth dawned upon me.
It was never to be found but to be felt.
In a world that sleeps under its blanket.
All thrive upon its warm divine essence.
It lies everywhere in the smiling nature
Which is unknown to all pains and sorrows.
Where the hearts are pure, eyes are glinting
With hope and joy laughs clinker, like an echo.
Yes, so now finally I think I can afford to smile.
And walk down the hill with happy memories
My melted heart drenched in the feeling of love.

The Story Behind

Love in this context means selfless love. Like I mentioned in my poem HARMONY, the love I am talking about is on a global terms. It is about considering this whole world as a family and loving it for what it is rather than what it could be. It is worthless to live in the hope of an impossible idealism. We rather be happy in a world as it possibly is. So I intend to say that only through love can this be possible.

This world sustains and ties itself together on the delicate threads of trust and love for each other. And like I have described in this poem, when the fountain of love is sprinkled in your heart, even the thing you abhor the most can become your darling. You learn to accept a person for what he is with his vices and virtues. That is what is love: acceptance. Imagine a world with this kind of a universal attitude. It would be a much better place to live in. I eagerly wait for that day, when man would understand the true meaning of love. Instead of seeking it externally, he should realize it within himself. And then he would find that love fluidly flowing and dripping from all of his surroundings. In the flow of this pure love should our hearts get drenched.
