Call it your pet, call it your kine
You owe a debt to make him whine
He's been a friend, a friend so true
But you pelt a stone when he helps you
You kicked him hard, left him alone
He licked his wounds instead of a bone.
He seems so lonely, he seems so sad
But you show him he's not the only one mad
He is not let to live as he wills
You kill his poor soul before time kills
The tears of faith roll from his eyes
He can't even properly bark as he cries
Look at those eyes for they do care
They want to love, they want to share
A rummaging joy as he wags his tail
And licks his master never to fail
In living up to his spoken word
And dying like an obedient nerd
To his ignorance lies a cunning plan
For a dog knows how to love not man.
The Story Behind
I feel envious of pet dogs. I would say they are less unfortunate. What they get his temporary happiness as long as their masters find them interesting. But when they are stray street dogs again, the less said the better. Have you ever seen their pathetic condition? Like hopeless cases in a hospital, these poor souls are also waiting for death; a natural death would be a better option.
But no we torture them and slowly kill them. Our cruelty towards animals knows no bounds.
What's true for dogs is true for all other animals too. They share the same fate. Man has proved he's the cruelest, the meanest and yes the wittiest of all animals. These poor dumb animals. All they can do is cry over their sorrow and this unjust cruelty of man. But we turn a deaf year to such cries.
When will man learn to stop this beastliness? Every animal is a creation of God just like we are. Man has got no right to destroy the creations of God for his sake. I am not against eating non vegetarian food. But killing just for the sake of it is ultimate cruelty. So the next time you kill an animal, remember you are killing God.
I purposely chose dog as my ideal animal. Dogs are the friendliest and the most faithful and helpful animals. They are not even our appetite. But we enjoy killing. We have put checks on the tragedy of dogs. One more whine beyond limit is an invitation for death. So sad we forgot to put reality checks on our own madness.
